Sarah has been working in illustration, character design and bespoke family and pet portraiture for 10 years. She also works in 3D, sculpting and needle felt and has a 1st Class Degree in BA Hons Animation, specialising in fabrication, automata and animatronics. Sarah is the co-founder of Happy Space Sloth in collaboration with fellow artist Charles Gershom. She also coordinates the Arts Council Wales funded Portffolio project at MOSTYN Gallery for creative kids aged 14-18.
Sarah specialises in character designs with curious narratives. Her stories involve adventure and discovery, where curious expressions abound!
One of Sarah's most popular commission pieces are pet portraits. She has painted dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, hamsters & parrots!
Whether its a family reunion or a new addition, Sarah has painted every combination under the sun. Backgrounds have included homes, parks, cars and beaches.
One of Sarah's favourite styles, the Chibi aesthetic is a large head on a little body. She often draws small chibi portraits of people and pets at events.
Learn the basics of stop-motion animation and make your own short film. Design and make your own clay puppet that can squash and stretch. Sarah will run through the principles of motion, which you can test out using your new character. Then animate your own sequence of action, drama and suspense! *All Ages*

From skeletal structure to skin and clothes, build up layers of bendy silicone latex foam to reveal your own unique character.
